Pure-Bred Lusitano Horses for Sale

At Peak Lusitano’s we sell pure-bred Lusitano’s using Alter Real bloodlines. This is a very special, royal bloodline that was founded in 1748 by the Royal House of Braganza. It was the dream of King Joao V to create a Royal Stud to provide fine carriage and high school horses, equal to the best of the other European Royal Studs.

Our breeding stallion Assirico is a bay pure-bred Alter Real Lusitano. Standing at 15.3hh he is APSL registered, graded and proven stallion.

Assirico was imported from the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art as a school master and performs various high school movements including piaffe and passage to the highest standards.

Assirico is thoroughly aristocratic, displaying impeccable manners and superb presence, all the characteristics of a true Lusitano.
